José Gabriel Velasco Stoll is a bilingual ophthalmologist with 57 years, specialized in Oculoplastic Surgery and Orbit, with extensive experience in the public and private sectors. He graduated in medicine from Cayetano Heredia University in 1994, completed his specialization in ophthalmology at the National Institute of Ophthalmology at San Martin de Porres Private University in 2002. Furthermore, he holds a master's degree in Health Services Management and specialization in oculoplastic surgery and orbit from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. His career is marked by a strong involvement in clinical-surgical research and university teaching, focusing on the dissemination of the sub-specialty of Oculoplastics.
Currently, he works as an ophthalmic surgeon in the Oculoplastic and Ocular Oncology service at the National Institute of Ophthalmology, where he also holds the position of Head of the Oculoplastic Surgery and Ocular Oncology Department. His surgical practice includes eyelid surgeries (cosmetic and functional), tear ducts, orbit, cataract, and imaging studies in ophthalmology. He is an active member of various national and international scientific societies, such as the Peruvian Society of Ophthalmology and the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology.
